The application fee of NZ$70 and half of the course fee must be paid with the application by the due date; the remainder of the course fee is due on arrival in Akaroa. In the case of unsuccessful applications the fees will be refunded.

All applications are due by Friday 14th December 2012. Late entries only permitted if spaces available.
Observer cards may be purchased at the festival office which is located at the Akaroa Area School during the festival.
Masterclasses are open to University music students and school students. Students under the age of fourteen must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. At the discretion of the organisers, applicants may be asked to audition, either taped or in person. Passive participation as a listener is possible.
The festival consists of masterclasses, ensemble rehearsals (chamber orchestra, choir, cello ensemble) and concerts.
The final concert will be performed by the chamber orchestra, the choir and the Canterbury Cellists. Participation is obligatory.
The lecturers will decide who is participating in the ensembles and will also choose performers including potential soloists for the final concert.
The solo repertoire prepared for the courses should be indicated in detail and in writing by Monday, 7th of January 2013.
All active participants will receive free entry to any public concert organised by the International Akaroa Music Festival.
There are a limited number of practice rooms available.
All lessons will be at the Akaroa Area School.

The International Akaroa Music Festival can arrange accommodation. A limited number of backpackers accommodation are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Accommodation prices organised by the International Akaroa Music Festival will be NZ$42 (day/person). This must be paid at the time of application. This will be refunded in the case of unsuccessful applications.
