Stephan Schrader

Stephan SchraderStephan Schrader has studied in Detmold (Germany) with Irene Güdel and in Paris with Maurice Gendron. He also received tuition from Ralph Kirshbaum, Daniel Shafran, Anner Bylsma and Norbert Brainin. He was appointed as co principle cellist at the Niedersächsische Staatstheater Hannover but left the position to be able to focus on chamber music, soloist and teaching.

Since 1996 he is a member of the „Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen“. He is also cellist of the baroque ensemble „Parnassi musici“ and a member of the piano trio „Trio Davidoff“. He tours regularly through all European countries, North – and South America, Japan and China.

He also is a lecturer for cello and Improvisation at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, northern Germany.
