Edith Salzmann

Edith SalzmannEdith Salzmann studied in Detmold (Germany) and Bloomington (USA) with Irene Gudel and Janos Starker.

As a soloist and chamber musician she has toured Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, Thailand and Korea.

She has recorded several CDs for the Italian label Stradivarius and other record companies.

Edith has given recitals at important European festivals, including the Orlando Festival, the Prussia Cove festival, Festival d’Ile de France, Festival Moulin d’Ande, and the festival “The Sound of Israel.

In 2001 she was appointed as senior lecturer at the University of Canterbury. She is a recording artist for Concert FM radio and has toured New Zealand with the Canterbury trio, the New Zealand String Quartet and the Baroque ensemble “Il Raccolto”.
