Peter Dykes
English oboist Peter Dykes studied under Stephane Rancourt and Stephen West at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
He made regular guest appearances with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of Scottish Ballet.
Peter was also a member of the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra and has made performances with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the European Union Chamber Orchestra.
For three years he held the position of solo oboe in the Slovenia National Theatre Opera and Ballet.
He was appointed in 2003 to the position of Principal Oboe with Christchurch Symphony, and also appears as a guest with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Philharmonia.
