Mario De Secondi
The Italian cellist Mario De Secondi studied with Antonio Janigro in Germany and with Janos Starker, USA. He is a founding member of the Piano Trio Opus 8, which for several years has been at home on the stages of Europe’s musical capitals.
With his trio, De Secondi has recently recorded the complete works of Brahms, Schubert and Schumann for this genre (Arte Nova). Prizewinner of numerous international competitions, Mario De Secondi is a Professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen, Germany.
He is also a co-founder of Open Chamber Music Trossingen, which is playing a leading role in Europe in educating and forming tomorrow’s chamber musicians.
