Music from a wide array of European villages was the backgrond aural culture which most pakeha forefathers brought to New Zealand. The programme takes the audience on a thoroughly enjoyable and fascinating journey from the songs and dances of 19th Century Bohemia with original instruments such as two dudelsacks, through to the country villages of Dorset with music intermingling with the prose of poets such as Thomas Hardy and Willim Barnes.
